Employee Benefits Consultant Service

A government authority in Willimantic, Connecticut is seeking an experienced vendor to provide employee benefits consultant services for a one-year contract. The selected consultant will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of health, dental, and vision insurance plan designs, as well as negotiating employee benefits with labor unions. Key services include conducting cost analyses of health and vision insurance plans, ongoing evaluation of plan design and claims utilization, and presenting results to management, policy bodies, and employee groups.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating benefit changes with insurance carriers, supporting open enrollment meetings, communicating changes to employees, and monitoring claims performance. The consultant may be required to conduct claims audits, perform rate analyses, negotiate health and dental insurance renewals, and monitor insurance carrier actuarial and renewal assumptions. The consultant will also assist in the annual budget development process and provide proactive advice on legislative updates and market trends as they relate to employee benefits.
