DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Newport, Kentucky, seeks a qualified vendor to provide employee benefits brokerage and consulting services. The selected broker will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, strategic support, strong reporting and analytics, and practical solutions for the agency's employee benefits programs.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Human Resources Coordinator on the agency's strategic plan for employee benefits, providing financial forecasting, budget and renewal planning, and benchmarking plan costs and performance against comparable employers. The vendor will also assist with group insurance administration, the implementation and management of new or existing programs and carriers, and offer consultative support throughout the year—beyond the annual renewal process.

Additionally, services will involve monitoring legal and regulatory changes, reviewing claims and utilization trends, recommending cost containment strategies, supporting employee communications and open enrollment, and addressing high-cost claims and specialty pharmacy trends. The initial contract will be for one year, and interested vendors must submit all questions by May 5, 2026.
