DESCRIPTION


The selected vendor will be responsible for providing third party billing services for emergency transport operations. The provider must demonstrate expertise in insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid billing, and will be expected to manage electronic receipt of billing information, electronic claims submission, and maintain a current database of patient information.

Additional requirements include conducting insurance reviews, handling Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims, overseeing Medicare/Medicaid and crossover eligibility processes, ensuring timely billings and follow-up procedures, and managing patient account numbering systems. The vendor will also be responsible for review and processing of refunds, probate claims, and other related billing procedures. The initial contract period will be three years, and all questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by April 29, 2026.
