The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding innovative and effective emergency nurse call solutions for its long-term care facility. This request for information is intended to explore options to replace the current 168-bed Zettler-based Tyco/Simplex–Grinnell nurse call system with a turnkey solution.
Vendors are invited to share insights on best practices, emerging technologies, and their capabilities to enhance resident care through advanced monitoring and reporting tools. Specific system requirements include centralized alerting and reporting, with the ability to track and record events such as staff presence, emergency toilet events, bed call events, call cord removals, and resident wait times. The solution should facilitate granular data collection for robust dashboard creation and reporting, with emergency notifications centralized at each nursing unit and accessible remotely.
The desired system should integrate audio and visual displays, ensuring individual room indicators and emergency alarms are visible and audible from both hallway common areas and nurse stations. The contract period for the selected solution is anticipated to be one year.
