DESCRIPTION
The selected vendor will provide comprehensive medical billing and revenue cycle management services for a fire department’s emergency medical services (EMS) operations in Ohio. Responsibilities include high-integrity claims processing, coordination of collections, compliance management, and exploring alternative revenue streams to support and enhance EMS services.
The contractor is expected to manage both electronic and paper claims submissions to all applicable insurance carriers. Billable services will encompass base fees, mileage, medical treatments when applicable, and on-scene emergency vehicle, EMS, and Fire services. Vendors are required to ensure that all claims are handled efficiently and in full compliance with relevant regulations.
