DESCRIPTION

The City of Palm Springs seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive emergency evacuation plan services. The selected consultant will work closely with city staff to create educational and training materials aimed at enhancing community understanding of evacuation procedures, alert systems, and available evacuation routes. This includes collaborating with local community leaders to develop a public outreach and education campaign that informs residents about evacuation processes and practices.

Key tasks include the assessment of communities within the project area, with a focus on Access and Functional Needs (AFN) populations, conducting community planning meetings, and evaluating optimal evacuation routes. The project will also require the use of Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping to develop both proposed and final evacuation routes and zones in Esri File Geodatabase format. Deliverables will include a comprehensive evacuation plan for the project area, warning messaging templates tailored to specific communities, development of roadway signage, and various public outreach materials. The contract will be for a period of one year.
