SUMMARY

RFP for a cloud-based, electronically securable locker storage solution at a North Dakota university, including design, installation, integration, and support.

DESCRIPTION

A university in North Dakota is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver an electronically securable, cloud-based locker storage solution. This solution will provide students, faculty, and staff with secure access to physical lockers through a web-based interface, supporting integration with the university's Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication system. Real-time electronic tracking of locker usage and stored items is required, and the system should be designed for modular deployment, with scalability for future expansion and no minimum locker or user counts.

The selected vendor will be responsible for the complete design and implementation of the solution. This includes evaluating site conditions, recommending configurations and locker counts, providing installation renderings or diagrams, and delivering and installing all required hardware such as lockers, kiosks, control systems, and infrastructure. The solution must comply with all relevant university and state building, fire, and accessibility codes. Vendors must also outline costs associated with equipment removal or return, particularly if leasing options are proposed.

Software and system integration are critical, with the required features including a self-service user interface for locker access and management, options for integration with university ID cards, SSO, or mobile credentials, and administrative dashboards with advanced reporting tools. The lockers should support automated unlock/lock mechanisms without the need for physical keys, offer configurable access durations, and feature intuitive interfaces with multi-language support. Administrative controls must enable monitoring, maintenance, and remote management of lockers. Vendors will be evaluated on their integration approach, performance history, reliability, and the provision of training and ongoing technical support. The contract term will be for one year. Questions regarding the project must be submitted by March 5, 2026.
