A major Maryland healthcare center, recognized as a national and regional referral hub for trauma, spine, cancer care, neurocare, cardiac care, women’s and children’s health, and physical rehabilitation, is seeking a vendor to provide an electronic prior authorization workflow solution. The institution is renowned for its large kidney transplant program and a wide array of specialized health services that reach thousands daily.
The selected vendor will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive electronic prior authorization workflow system, including its implementation, thorough staff training, and ongoing support. Vendors are expected to submit a detailed work plan that outlines the implementation and onboarding process, specifying expected durations and key deliverables at various stages. The proposal should identify the timeline from contract execution to the anticipated go-live date, as well as address training requirements for relevant staff members positioned to use the tool.
Proposals must also consider elements such as contracting and legal terms, ongoing service and maintenance, integration within the existing technology environment, and how the solution aligns with clinical and business workflows. The anticipated contract period for this engagement is three years.
