DESCRIPTION

A county in New York is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a web-based electronic medical record (EMR) and financial accounting system. The solution must integrate comprehensive healthcare management and financial functionalities onto a single platform to improve workflow efficiency and data accessibility.

The system should include electronic health records, computerized physician order entry, ePrescribing, electronic MAR/TAR, laboratory and radiology results, 24-hour reporting, accidents and incidents tracking, progress notes, clinical assessments, MDS, care planning, rehabilitation therapy documentation, document management, nutrition and fall risk management, and timely access to data systems. Financial requirements include revenue cycle management, centralized billing, exception and automated workflows, claims management, bundled payments, regulatory compliance, collections, and resident trust fund management.

Additionally, the platform should support census management with admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-admissions, and bed holds. Interoperability with external laboratory and radiology vendors and integration with vital sign monitoring devices are required. The system should automate and streamline key workflows such as medication and treatment administration, accident and incident reviews, and progress note documentation to facilitate efficient communication and high-quality care delivery.
