SUMMARY

New York seeks a system for electronic logging, inmate location tracking, and inventory/asset management across correctional facilities.

DESCRIPTION

New York is seeking a vendor to provide an integrated electronic logging, inmate location, inventory, and asset management system for use across its correctional facilities. The objective is to enhance operational efficiency, improve accountability, and support real-time tracking and documentation of facility activities and resources.

The system should facilitate the electronic logging of routine and special activities, including watches, emergencies, inspections, out-of-cell time, and program participation. It must provide real-time tracking of inmate locations and movements, and support comprehensive management of inventory, equipment, supplies, and assets. Core features will include the ability to document and route requests, repair orders, grievances, incident reports, and case management records. The platform should allow customizable checklists and forms compatible with various data sets and offer flexibility to add or modify user-defined modules as requirements evolve.

Inmate information management capabilities should cover demographics, photographs, classification, housing, alerts, charges, court dates, bail, PINs, and the creation of Deprivation Orders for restriction of essential services. Handheld devices used with the system must be Wi-Fi capable and operate on Android OS version 15 (Vanilla Ice Cream) or higher. The initial contract term will be five years.
