A university in Mississippi is seeking to acquire electronic health record (EHR) software to efficiently manage health records, support scheduling processes, and interface with radiology systems. The chosen EHR solution should be capable of storing, processing, and securing approximately 90,000 records, providing a minimum of 300GB of storage space.
Key requirements include customizable scheduling capabilities, allowing site administrators to define and modify reasons for visit, appointment types, and schedule templates for individual providers. The system must provide flexibility to adjust a provider's daily schedule independently of established templates, enable control over patient chart data elements visible in the header, and support the definition and modification of multiple schedule templates per provider.
Additionally, the EHR must offer a bi-directional interface with eRad to facilitate radiology orders, image transmission, and the return of radiologist reports. A comprehensive written implementation plan for eRad integration is required. The vendor is also expected to provide and maintain a separate test instance of the EHR system, ensuring that all functionality and updates can be validated prior to deployment in the production environment.
