DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Seattle, Washington is seeking a vendor to provide an electricity demand supply study service. The selected firm will support the port's transition from traditional fossil fuel–based systems to increased dependence on electricity for heating, backup, and transportation energy needs.

The scope includes evaluating and sizing renewable energy generation options with specific site reviews and grid integration considerations. The study will require preliminary design, including shading and glare analysis for solar PV systems. It also entails analyzing investment opportunities in off-site renewable generation, exploring partnership business models, understanding relevant state and federal regulatory frameworks, and reviewing international greenhouse gas accounting systems.

Vendors will be expected to produce annual hourly and monthly energy generation forecasts, as well as assess the impact of current utility policies and contract terms on the proposed solutions.
