The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is conducting market research to identify potential sources for infrastructure upgrades at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. This project aims to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) system through comprehensive improvements in facility infrastructure.
Key aspects of the project include upgrades to electrical systems, enhancements to server and telecommunications rooms, server relocation, communications infrastructure improvements, and the expansion of fiber backbone infrastructure to telecommunications rooms and enclosures, all in adherence with VA and OIT standards. The project will be procured as a competitive, firm–fixed–price contract under a design–bid–build approach, with final specifications and drawings to be issued.
The procurement process will consider both technical qualifications and price or may be determined by price alone, depending on further market research findings. The project anticipates a solicitation release date in early March 2026.
