The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, is conducting market research for construction firms capable of executing infrastructure upgrades to support Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) at the Great Lakes Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) in Hines, IL.
The scope of work includes comprehensive facility infrastructure improvements required for the new EHRM system. This involves upgrades to the electrical infrastructure, server room, and telecommunications rooms. Additional tasks include the relocation of servers, upgrades to communications infrastructure, and enhancement of the fiber infrastructure backbone extending to telecommunications rooms and enclosures in accordance with VHA and OIT standards.
A competitive firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated, delivered through a design–bid–build approach. Final specifications and drawings will be provided. The procurement method and any applicable socio-economic set-aside will be determined based on the results of this ongoing market research.
