DESCRIPTION
The selected vendor will deliver comprehensive economic development strategy services for a township in Ontario, Canada. Responsibilities include conducting a thorough review to establish baseline economic drivers and disruptors shaping the local economy. The firm will analyze existing demographic and socio-economic data, including the labor market, to identify under-recognized community assets and gaps in employment talent, as well as recommend methods for attracting new talent.
The scope of work involves running a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and developing strategies to leverage or address these findings. Vendors will also conduct a baseline review of economic and employment lands and pinpoint supply chain growth opportunities for the community. Furthermore, recommendations should be provided to enhance sustainability, foster climate resilience, and support the growth of green infrastructure in rural settings, where applicable.
