Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
A city or organization in Texas is seeking a vendor to provide consulting services for the development of an economic development strategic plan. The selected consultant will be expected to evaluate a variety of demographic, workforce, income, employment, and industry trends relevant to economic development objectives. This includes reviewing and analyzing residential growth trends in relation to workforce availability, community vitality, and economic sustainability.
Key tasks involve assessing tourism, visitor economy, and downtown market dynamics, as well as conducting detailed analysis of regional and competitive market conditions. The consultant will analyze local and regional workforce characteristics, such as labor force participation, occupational trends, and educational attainment, to gauge workforce alignment with current and targeted industries for economic development support.
The project also encompasses reviewing education and workforce development assets, identifying strategic infrastructure investment priorities linked to economic and population growth, and addressing infrastructure-related constraints and capital improvement planning. Strategies for revitalization, placemaking, small business support, and comprehensive community engagement activities will be developed and executed. A structured engagement approach to gather public input on priorities, opportunities, and challenges is also required.
