New Mexico is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver comprehensive economic development services for the county. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining an Economic Development Strategic Plan that aligns with county objectives. The vendor will conduct market analysis, identify target industries, and establish measurable performance indicators to track progress.
Key tasks involve creating and executing marketing campaigns to attract new businesses, while maintaining strong relationships with existing businesses to encourage their retention and expansion. The vendor will also provide site selection assistance, facilitate permitting processes, and advocate for infrastructure improvements such as transportation, broadband, and utilities. Additional duties include developing incentive packages to support business recruitment and growth, promoting workforce initiatives like internships, apprenticeships, and job fairs, and managing an economic development website and social media presence.
The scope of work further entails preparing promotional materials, issuing press releases, and providing quarterly and annual reports on economic development activities. The selected vendor will be expected to continually adjust strategies based on performance data to achieve optimal results.
