Ontario is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive economic development and tourism strategy services. The selected provider will build upon existing strategic initiatives outlined in the agency's 2023–2026 Strategic Action Plan Update and the broader 10-year Partnering for the Future Strategic Plan 2020–2030. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a stakeholder engagement plan that ensures meaningful participation from both internal and external parties, accurately capturing a range of ideas, visions, values, and priorities.
The vendor will facilitate all related meetings, workshops, and interviews in an inclusive and forward-looking manner, emphasizing productive engagement to gather relevant and reliable information. Additional deliverables encompass the development of recommendations for an economic development brand strategy. For the tourism component, all strategic recommendations should be grounded in thorough market analysis, the stakeholder engagement process, and industry best practices. The contract for these services will span a period of five years.
