Economic Development and Investment Attraction Website Design and Implementation

The organization seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive website design, development, hosting, migration, and implementation services for two new complementary websites: a municipal site and an economic development & investment attraction site, both utilizing the WordPress content management system. These websites will serve as central digital platforms for residents, visitors, investors, and businesses, delivering accessible, accurate, and current information via a modern, secure, mobile-responsive, and easy-to-maintain CMS.

Scope of work includes discovery and planning, information architecture, visual design, content preparation and migration, CMS development, accessibility compliance, quality assurance, analytics and SEO setup, deployment, user training, and ongoing post-launch support. Websites will be custom-designed to align with Community Economic Development (CED) branding and will focus on investor-friendly user experiences. Essential features include mobile responsiveness, site-wide search, maps of community facilities and points of interest, various online request/inquiry forms, an events calendar, content formatting and cleanup, document and media optimization, SEO-friendly structure, awareness of Core Web Vitals, XML sitemap generation, and robots.txt configuration.

The vendor will be responsible for ensuring the final websites are professional, intuitive, and optimized for performance, search visibility, and accessibility.
