An education organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota is seeking a vendor to provide E-Rate services, including the annual procurement of up to 150 campus switches (totaling up to 750 over five years) and up to 1,000 wireless access points annually (totaling up to 5,000 over five years). The organization currently uses Cisco 9800 series Wireless LAN Controllers, which will remain active to support its existing base of Cisco 2700 and 3700 series access points. Should upgrades to the controllers be necessary that render them incompatible with older access points, new controllers will be required.

Controllers must be sized to accommodate the district’s current inventory of 4,000 access points, with consideration for anticipated growth during the contract period. Installation services requested include pre-configuring new access points with provided barcodes, labels, and hostnames, executing physical installation, removing existing access points, and ensuring proper connectivity to the network.
