DESCRIPTION

A vendor is sought to provide a comprehensive arc flash hazard analysis and short circuit study service for Division 9. The objective is to enhance the organization's electrical safety program, implement additional safety measures for employees, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

The selected firm will assist in the development and implementation of the arc flash assessment, including review and necessary updates to the existing electrical system one-line diagram. The project covers the representation of installed electrical systems for both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) at Division 9, reflecting actual field modifications.

Further responsibilities include performing a short circuit and equipment duty study to verify that all equipment is adequately rated for short circuit currents, minimizing hazardous conditions. The vendor will also determine system operating modes and conditions that may impact short circuit currents and arc flash hazard energy levels, and conduct an arc flash hazard analysis to establish appropriate energy levels and necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) specifications.
