A government authority in Rockville, Maryland, is seeking a provider for a direct high-speed alphanumeric printing system. The required system must be a stand-alone, direct-to-media labware printer capable of high-throughput, non-manual labeling of tubes and 96-well plates. It should allow direct labeling of tubes without relying on adhesive labels, with labels that do not smear when exposed to water or alcohol. The system must be compatible with tubes of various sizes, from 1.5 mL Eppendorf tubes to larger formats.
The scope includes a one-year ink subscription, a minimum one-year warranty with onsite preventive maintenance, software updates, and coverage for parts, labor, and shipping to and from the manufacturer's service center. The delivery must include all necessary supplies and accessories for installation and start-up. Operational and maintenance manuals for the system and controlling software must be provided in both hard copy and/or electronic formats. These manuals should cover proper usage, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
