An organization in Alaska is seeking a qualified vendor to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive digitization, cataloging, and access system for its extensive collection of cultural, language, educational, and historical materials. The initiative aims to both preserve these valuable resources and make them accessible to educators and approved cultural stakeholders.

The selected vendor will be responsible for conducting a complete inventory of all current physical and digital holdings. They will create a secure, permission-based digital repository that aligns with cultural protocols, ensuring robust access control and adherence to contemporary data-security standards. Recommendations and implementation of appropriate storage systems—be it cloud, on-premise, hybrid, or distributed—will be required.

Additionally, the vendor will develop an organizational structure and establish metadata standards tailored for cultural, linguistic, and instructional materials. The system should include a search index optimized for educational use, as well as a user-friendly access portal.
