DESCRIPTION

The Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership is seeking a vendor to provide digital development services focused on creating a secure, user-friendly digital platform accessible via mobile (iOS and Android) devices as well as web browsers. The platform will enable teachers in Ireland to register, log in, and deliver a specific program in both classroom and school yard/playground settings, supporting usage in either English or Irish.

The solution should reflect the technological engagement and visual standards that children experience in other areas of their digital lives. It must allow teachers to independently deliver the program without the need for trained tutors from the partnership. The front-end will comprise mobile applications and a responsive web portal, while the back-end will feature a secure, cloud-hosted environment, a content management system for administrative control, and an analytics module to gather anonymized usage data. Additional requirements include an API layer for interoperability and an authentication layer for secure access. Vendors should provide recommendations on the optimal technology stack, such as hybrid or native applications versus a web portal.
