SUMMARY

Design services including surveys, traffic studies, and site planning for Cobb County, Georgia.

DESCRIPTION

Cobb County, Georgia is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive design services for a government project. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting a topographic and boundary survey of the project site to develop a detailed base map, which will serve as the foundation for advanced conceptual, preliminary, and final design phases. The boundary survey must include all property and right-of-way lines for adjacent streets, at-grade, aerial, and subsurface easements, and should establish benchmark monuments as well as horizontal and vertical controls.

Additionally, the scope of work includes conducting traffic counts and studies for potential ingress and egress intersections within and adjacent to the property. The traffic analysis must consider current operations and possible future expansions to maximum capacity, with particular attention to major signalized intersections surrounding the site. A Basis of Design Memo is required, incorporating operational and capacity analysis, along with data from surveys, traffic, and geotechnical studies.

The vendor is also expected to participate in a project kickoff workshop with county representatives and stakeholders, and to address additional project requirements such as site and structure branding, transit technology integration, security planning, certification, and risk assessment. Key project milestones include a pre-bid meeting scheduled for January 13, 2026, and a deadline for questions on January 20, 2026.
