DESCRIPTION


Carroll County, Georgia is seeking qualified firms to provide design professional services for the replacement of the sheriff’s office and the modernization of the county jail. The project includes the addition of a mental health facility and various upgrades to the existing men’s jail tower, in accordance with the county's existing conceptual design.

The selected design professional will be responsible for project program review, preparation of all project specifications, bid documents, and assistance in evaluating bid package proposals. Additional responsibilities include planning for interior and exterior signage, building plaque design, landscaping and irrigation, site lighting, and ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The firm will also manage construction contract administration, change order documentation, and project documentation, as well as provide reproducible as-built and development stage drawings as directed by the owner.
