DESCRIPTION

The government authority in California is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive design and engineering services throughout both the bidding/pre-construction phase and the construction phase. The selected consultant will be required to include Pollution Prevention Plan requirements in their work, ensure all non-utility facilities and sanitary sewers have a minimum clearance of five feet horizontally, and coordinate and procure services from a geotechnical subconsultant for activities such as geotechnical boring, reporting on soil types and strengths, and informing the design process.

Responsibilities also include conducting a detailed topographical survey encompassing topographic lines, streets, sidewalks, benchmarks, survey points with elevations, and natural features, as well as performing a structural evaluation analysis to incorporate effective and approvable seismic arrangements into the project plan. This entails reviewing various seismic anchoring options, such as tie-downs to concrete pads or existing pavement, and integrating the best solution into the design. The consultant must also review and ensure the adequacy of existing onsite utilities, including electrical, internet, potable water supply, and sewer connections, with provisions for new services where necessary.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 7, 2026, and all questions concerning the RFP must be submitted by April 13, 2026.
