DESCRIPTION

Madison-based government authority seeks a vendor to provide dental insurance services covering active employees, elected officials, associated agency personnel, and retirees. The current dental plan covers approximately 3,040 employees, 6 full-time elected officials, and a 37-member County Board of Supervisors, totaling 2,596 enrolled members (6,982 individuals including dependents).

The dental insurance extends to three associated agencies: Dane County Housing Authority, Capital Area Regional Planning Commission, and Dane County Workforce Development Board. The retiree group consists of about 854 individuals, with 1,283 members directly billed by the carrier. The selected provider will serve as the primary administrator for the retiree population and is responsible for maintaining retiree enrollment, including coverage for surviving spouses or former spouses who may continue as direct pay subscribers.

The county seeks comprehensive and reliable dental insurance administration that accommodates both active and retired populations, as well as associated agencies.
