The government authority in Gainesville, FL is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive services for demolition, asbestos abatement, lead paint removal, and hazardous materials removal at downtown structures. The selected contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, permitting, mobilization, supervision, abatement, demolition, transportation, and legal disposal of materials.
Scope of work includes the removal and lawful disposal of all asbestos-containing materials in accordance with federal accreditation requirements, compliance with regulations for lead-based paint disturbance and hazardous substance disposal, and adherence to both federal and state environmental guidelines. Contractors must also address non-hazardous waste generated from demolition and implement a safety planning process to identify and mitigate potential hazards prior to beginning work. Complete structural demolition to the concrete slab or subgrade is required.
The contract is planned for a three-year period. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled, and all questions regarding the project must be submitted in advance of the specified deadline.
