A government authority in Washington, DC seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive datacenter tier assessment services. The selected company will conduct a detailed classification assessment of the data center, evaluating its capacity to meet federal mandates such as backup power, failover, and recovery requirements. The assessment must include thorough documentation presenting findings, assigned tier levels with justifications, and individual component assessment tests with descriptions and rankings.
Key datacenter components to be included are management and operations, network infrastructure, data center security, disaster recovery, risk and vulnerabilities, and computational fluid dynamics analysis. The purpose of these assessments is to determine operational sustainability, highlight potential improvements, and evaluate readiness to support commercial hosting, interagency colocation, multi-tenant compliance, and cloud services requiring authorization.
