The selected vendor will provide database management support services focused on repositories containing environmental contaminant chemistry data related to sediment, water, tissue, oil, as well as sediment and water toxicity data. Services will include maintaining and enhancing environmental data models and regional databases, including improvements to database schema.
The vendor is responsible for ensuring that all data and calculations comply with national standards such as USEPA, ASTM, and other relevant protocols. Maintaining the consistency and evolution of common dictionary files is crucial to supporting compatibility between legacy and novel datasets. The work will also involve applying expertise in chemistry, toxicity testing, fisheries biology, and field data sampling to standardize and integrate comprehensive datasets into the diver database.
