DESCRIPTION


The government authority located in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a vendor to provide data center colocation services. The selected vendor will deliver technical space, power, cooling, fire protection, security, and connectivity to establish a fail-safe, 24/7 computing site. This data center will serve as a hot site for live production systems supporting the board’s line of business applications, including Student Information, Oracle Financials, Enterprise Dashboard, and public-facing websites.

Responsibilities include racking equipment, connecting high and low-voltage cabling, and managing the ordering of WAN and Internet circuits. The vendor will also maintain a management information system for environmental monitoring and implement comprehensive security procedures with detailed access control measures. Azure Site Recovery must be used for replicating virtual machines from the primary colocation facility to an Azure region.

Additional tasks entail the management of advanced routing, firewall configuration, and network segmentation to ensure robust protection and performance. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by March 12, 2026.
