A government authority in Rochester, New York seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive data cabling services. The scope includes cable and associated hardware such as cable management solutions, racks, cabinets, installation hardware (including low voltage signal amplifiers), and power protection. Vendors will also be responsible for the maintenance and testing of both existing and freshly installed cable or fiber, delivered on a time and materials basis.
All installations must adhere to best practices, including a maximum terminated cable length of 90 meters (295 feet) for any media type and strict compliance with manufacturer instructions and Category specifications. Care should be taken to prevent cable stress, and only the necessary amount of cable sheath should be removed to maintain the correct cable geometry. Additionally, the selected vendor will provide emergency services 24/7 as required by the authority.
