The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive automated electronic fingerprint services for all CBP employees, contractors, consultants, and applicants. The contractor is responsible for supplying fingerprinting facilities, trained personnel, electronic communication methods for fingerprint data, and all required equipment to ensure a seamless automated electronic fingerprint process nationwide.
Key services include scheduling candidates for fingerprinting in coordination with various CBP offices, offering an automated self-scheduling system for participants, capturing electronic fingerprints for background investigations, and maintaining a web-based data system with remote access. The data system must expose all collected information for integration via web services and include relationships and unique identifiers. Fingerprinting sites must be available in all continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and Saipan.
The contractor must accommodate variable request volumes—potentially several thousand in a single day—and deliver within specified timelines. Additionally, a testing environment that accurately reflects the production system must be provided to support CBP’s evolving requirements and allow for proper interface updates prior to deployment.
