An agency in New York is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive crisis management and de-escalation system for implementation in agency schools. The system must be evidence- or research-based and suitable for students of all ages and cognitive abilities, including both verbal and non-verbal learners. It should address prevention, intervention, de-escalation, and management of behavioral challenges, such as fighting, verbal and physical aggression, bullying, biting, self-injury, property destruction, and elopement.
The solution must include in-person/direct comprehensive staff training at an agency site, instructing staff on necessary skills and strategies, including the use of physical restraints when appropriate. Additionally, the system should enable direct training for personnel who will serve as trainers within the district. The contract period is one year.
