A SaaS-based cosmetology salon management system is required to support operations in Utah. The system must be capable of managing at least 400 students and provide comprehensive reporting features, including sales metrics (such as gross sales, daily transactions, revenue by service type and student, as well as retail revenue connected to students), inventory tracking by value and SKU, and detailed daily operational reports. These daily reports should cover total service by program, tracked durations and steps (such as clock-in, consultations, dispense, and checkout), as well as student attendance details including late arrivals, sick days, vacation, and testing periods.
Additionally, the system should allow for the tracking of clinical and mannequin time, ensuring these resources remain available for client services. Continuing education hours for students must also be tracked. Key client management features include robust search functionality by phone number or other identifiers and the ability to easily reassign clients if a student is unavailable, with a preference for drag-and-drop capability.
The solution must integrate with a credit card machine to minimize errors and process various payment types, including chip and mobile payments. For inventory and sales management, the system should enable manual entry or scanning of products, searching by name, SKU, or item photos, and handle traditional barcode lengths. It should also support the entry of miscellaneous items without affecting inventory, and allow for price modifications within transactions. Vendors are required to submit any questions regarding the system capabilities or requirements by January 16, 2026.
