The City of Missouri is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive convention center and tourism management services. The scope includes conducting research to identify target leisure markets, brand positioning, and associated destination marketing initiatives. The successful vendor will be responsible for developing and executing a research-based marketing plan aimed at attracting leisure travelers from selected markets, as well as enhancing the City's reputation as a tourist destination.
Key responsibilities include maintaining a website to promote the City, ensuring operated amenities are prominently featured, and implementing strategies to penetrate new markets and attract events that boost usage of the convention complex and local hotel occupancy. The vendor will manage all advertising, licensing, promotional activities, marketing, and public relations for the complex, closely coordinating with the hospitality industry. Additional duties involve analyzing customer survey data, fostering community support for tourism programs, conducting annual market analyses of travel and visitor trends, and recommending improvements to the Visitor Center to enhance its efficiency, accessibility, and value for diverse guests.
Major strategies should encompass advertising, public relations, and direct marketing efforts. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 26, 2026.
