A government authority in Hartford, Connecticut is seeking qualified construction vendors for demolition, roofing component removal, and the installation of new downspout systems on selected buildings.
The scope of work involves demolishing and removing designated exterior roofing components, including shingles, underlayment, and select sheet metal flashings, to fully expose the existing plywood sheathing. Vendors are required to provide adequate shoring as needed during demolition and to ensure that all removed materials are legally disposed of offsite.
The selected contractor will also be responsible for installing new downspout systems in locations where they are missing. This includes supplying and affixing downspouts, elbows, strap anchors, decorative strap covers, strainers, aluminum leaders, and making proper downspout connections. Additionally, tasks include removing and installing new open style valley flashing. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for February 9, 2026, to provide further project details and clarify requirements.
