A government authority in Houston, Texas is seeking a construction manager at-risk to oversee renovations of exterior walls and building systems. The project involves a building with exterior components including concrete masonry units (CMU) and storefront assemblies at the ground level, brick masonry veneer with cavity wall construction and punched windows from levels 2 to 7, metal wall panels at level 7 attached to steel stud back-up walls, as well as metal louvers and glazed curtainwall systems throughout the structure.
Responsibilities include conducting site assessments of the exterior wall systems, evaluating interior finishes, reinforced concrete stair framing, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. During the pre-design and programming phase, the construction manager will validate previously proposed remediation recommendations and update the renovation programming narrative, including a rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimate for addressing identified issues.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting for interested parties will take place on December 9, 2025. All questions related to the project must be submitted by December 15, 2025.
