The government authority in Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking a vendor to provide Construction Management at Risk (CMaR) services for an upcoming project. The selected firm will be responsible for delivering comprehensive construction management throughout all project phases, including obtaining and paying for all necessary construction-related permits, furnishing required bonds and insurance, and providing as well as maintaining construction site offices for both CM at Risk and City staff.
The company will handle all aspects of site management and administration, conduct thorough reviews of construction documents, and make recommendations regarding value engineering, constructability, pricing, material and equipment availability, scheduling, and both construction methods and sequencing. Responsibilities also include coordinating the abatement and demolition scope within trade contractor cost limits and assigning a professional project scheduler—capable of producing critical path method (CPM) schedules that encompass all design activities, permit requirements, and other key schedule milestones essential for the preliminary construction schedule.
