Phase 1 - Police Garage / Interview Room: Spring 2026

Phase 2 – Sally Port / PSAP Expansion: Fall 2026

A government authority in Birmingham, Michigan is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive construction management services for upgrades to a police garage and interview room. The scope of work includes demolition of existing infrastructure such as fences, sidewalks, exterior overhangs, and interior walls, followed by construction of a new two-story garage with secure evidence storage on the second floor, multiple overhead doors, ADA-compliant restroom facilities within the current storage building, and advanced building security systems including alarms and cameras.

Additional requirements involve constructing an interview room within the police clerical area with direct access to the booking room, enhanced access to the clerical area, installation of audio and video surveillance, and integration of HVAC and electrical systems along with fire protection measures. A new 650 sq. ft. sally port is to be built adjacent to the booking room, designed to complement the existing historic building, featuring secure access, building security, and modern mechanical systems. Questions about the project must be submitted by March 25, 2026, and a pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 17, 2026.
