A government authority in Virginia is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive construction management services. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting detailed reviews of plans, specifications, design documents, site conditions, and related reports. Key responsibilities include preparing fully independent quantity take-offs, cost estimates based on technical specifications and drawings, and developing construction schedules.
Additional duties will involve assisting in the preparation, evaluation, and recommendation of potential change orders with attention to necessity, suitability, and cost. The vendor will maintain a change order log and support the review of contractor-prepared construction schedules, including analysis of activity durations, sequencing, and critical path issues to ensure projected completion dates are achievable and align with outlined specifications.
