DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Cambridge, Massachusetts seeks a qualified vendor to provide construction management at risk services for the replacement of the existing salt shed. The new facility is planned as a 60’ x 80’ x 40’ structure, increasing salt storage capacity to approximately 2,000 tons.

The project will include ancillary support areas for public salt usage, brine tanks, a vehicle wash station, outdoor storage, and spaces to support snow operations personnel. Additionally, the new facility will offer unconditioned storage and workshop spaces. Required professional services encompass industrial, civil, site, environmental/solid waste, structural, MEP, geotechnical, and sustainability engineering, as well as architecture and landscape architecture.

Responsibilities include reviewing and recommending revisions to the project master schedule, budget, and permitting plan; attending and, if requested, leading periodic and special project meetings; obtaining and paying for necessary construction-related permits; and furnishing all bonds and insurance as required. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 8, 2026.
