DESCRIPTION


A government authority in Glen Burnie, Maryland is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive construction management and inspection services for ongoing and planned projects at an airport facility. The consultant will be required to supply a full-time professional staff and participate in all aspects of the construction process, including reviewing construction documents, commenting on construction duration, phasing plans, work sequences, traffic maintenance, airport operations, security impacts, staging areas, and coordination with concurrent projects.

Responsibilities also entail constructability reviews, participation in design review meetings, and detailed inspection services such as contractor stakeout verification, grade checking, material inspection, plant testing, sampling, materials testing, soil compaction testing, and final measurement of completed work. The consultant must also monitor the project schedule, ensuring proper sequencing and realistic durations, adequate labor and material allocation, and timely processing of shop drawings and samples.

Regular progress monitoring will be expected, including identification of schedule variances and providing recommendations to keep the project on track. The contract duration will be five years.
