A downtown Washington venue is seeking a vendor to provide concert booking and production services for a 5,100+ seat outdoor amphitheater. The selected firm will be responsible for producing a seasonal concert series as well as major annual events, including 'Pig Out in the Park,' a six-day Labor Day festival featuring live music, food, and market vendors, and the city's Fourth of July celebration with local music, food vendors, fireworks, and a patriotic ceremony.
The scope of work includes managing event production and oversight activities such as day-of-event operations, procurement and coordination of sound and lighting vendors, and the management of stagehands. The vendor must also establish effective processes for scheduling and overseeing venue security and law enforcement support. Flexibility is key: the venue prefers a non-exclusive arrangement, allowing organizers of private, non-ticketed events the option to book their own talent directly, in order to reduce costs and accommodate varied programming requirements.
