The state of Oregon is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) planning and passenger information system. This system will support both fixed-route and on-demand (Dial-a-Ride) transit services, serving diverse communities and improving the reliability and efficiency of public transportation.
The desired platform should deliver integrated solutions for operations, reporting, dispatch, and information sharing. It must support Transit Center informational monitors, web-based applications, and third-party mobile app integration. The system should enable seamless connectivity between fixed-route and demand response options, offering advanced trip planning features for current and future riders.
Key requirements include an integrated CAD-AVL system for both fixed and demand-responsive services; comprehensive tools for planning, scheduling, and rostering; robust database capabilities for driver, bus stop, and passenger information; a feature-rich trip planning mobile application; and real-time passenger information dissemination. The contract for these services is set for a three-year period.
