DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Texas is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive rice farming services over an area of approximately 200 acres for rice, 10 acres for energy cane, and 5 acres for soybeans, as well as initiating crawfish studies on 3 acres. The scope also includes maintaining the center property to support the institution’s agricultural mission.

Required services cover troubleshooting and maintaining irrigation systems necessary for controlled flooding, water management, and stress studies, as well as maintenance of farming equipment. Additional responsibilities include leveling roads to facilitate safe and efficient equipment and personnel movement during planting and harvest.

The selected vendor will also be responsible for cutting grass and removing weeds in and around rice fields, levees, canals, and roadways to prevent weed dissemination, reduce pests and diseases, and minimize interference with ongoing research trials.
