DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Alexandria, Virginia is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive, data-driven long-range educational facilities planning services. The aim is to develop a collaborative roadmap that aligns school facility modernization and capacity expansion with projected enrollment growth and evolving instructional priorities.

The selected vendor will design and facilitate a thorough planning process resulting in a 20-year long-range educational facilities plan. The process requires ongoing data collection to ensure that facility strategies can be updated as demographic conditions and instructional needs change. Deliverables include a Project Management Plan (PMP) with a master schedule, risk register, and QA/QC framework, as well as analysis of recent demographic trends, specialized student population growth, and their effects on K–12 capacity.

Additionally, the vendor will develop education specifications in partnership with agency leadership for all grade levels and special programs, as well as strategic modeling and site identification. The engagement culminates with a draft Long-Range Educational Facilities Plan document, integrating assessment results, community input, site recommendations, and capital planning guidance.
