DESCRIPTION


The County seeks a consultant to provide comprehensive compost and organics marketing services. The selected consultant will assist in the development and implementation of a marketing program for organic materials, ensuring alignment with the county’s existing and anticipated incoming feedstock supply. The program will involve collaboration with local agricultural and farming communities, support for municipalities, and utilization of both the consultant’s and the county’s sales and marketing resources for promoting and selling organic products.

Target markets include the agricultural industry, farming operations, carbon sequestration projects, land applications, rangeland enhancements, community landscapes, and various county jurisdictions. The consultant will be required to use a portal or system to coordinate product deliveries and hauling, providing the county with access for recordkeeping and reporting purposes. Additional responsibilities include managing end market distribution, sales recordkeeping, invoice tracking, transportation and logistics, ensuring compliance with current organics regulations, and recommending appropriate revenue sharing setups. Operational input and recommendations for the program are also expected. The contract will be for a one-year period.
