DESCRIPTION


The government authority in Oakland, California is seeking vendors to provide Community Violence Intervention (CVI) services through community-based organizations. The selected organizations will be responsible for implementing intervention strategies focused on both gun violence and gender-based violence, including annual projections of people served and allocating funding accordingly.

Services are structured around core activities, which focus on identifying and engaging individuals most at risk of gun or gender-based violence, and support services, which are tailored to those identified through core engagement. Organizations should proactively intervene in active or potential conflicts to prevent violence, stabilize impacted individuals, and offer long-term, intensive support to help shift behaviors, strengthen support networks, and provide pathways to safety and stability.

Efforts will be targeted at high-risk populations, with the goal of interrupting plans for violence and fostering long-term change. The contract duration is three years. A pre-bid meeting will take place on March 18, 2026, and any questions should be submitted by March 20, 2026.
